JACOBUS
SALE STARTS 5/13 @ 10AM PST
Dutch Harness Horse Stallion
Dynamic and dignified… the Dutch Harness Horse, the artist of the equine world. Their captivating motion is like a dance, their breathtaking power is like a painting, their unique rhythym is like a song, and their presence itself is that of a marble sculpture. It seemed only fitting to name my precious creation after my favorite Dutch artist, my grandfather, Jacobus Baas… This high stepping Dutch Harness Horse is eye-catching and captivating. This was something I strived to capture in sculpture… a moment of suspension, power and pride. His tilted head and wide eye locked on the celebratory crowd hollering excitement. This raucous does not frighten him, it encourages him… he is putting on a show! A show that only the elegant Dutch Harness Horse can perform! This is a large 1:9 scale, statement piece fine art sculpture. He was created to command attention… whether on the show table or gracing your home or herd. His creation was a beautiful challenge for me and a culmination of my growth as an artist and human. No details spared… It was very important to me that I not only honor this stunning breed but honor his namesake, my grandfather, Jacobus. I have no current plans to release in any other scales/sizes. I want to enjoy him in his original size as initially envisioned as a unique collector’s piece. I do hope to have a few pieces released in bronze in the future.
